Dear Member,

Well, next Sunday, June 14, is the day, the day we will resume our worship services! We will send out an email along with a video outlining the protocols we will follow to insure a safe gathering and demonstrating how we will proceed. We realize that a number of you may not feel comfortable attending worship and we certainly respect your decision. The good news is that you will be able to participate even at home since we will be continuing our videotaping, only now the video will be of our regular Sunday service. And so, one way or the other, we will gather for worship!

To view this Sunday’s video, please click the following link: https://youtube.com/watch?v=Bmgnip_mBhs

Also, we want to alert you that we will not be resuming Wednesday Evening Communion on June 17 or Bible Study on June 18 as we had planned. In addition, please remember that Adult Sunday will not start up for a while.

Concerning announcements…

• We will provide food for Calvary Refuge on Thursday, June 25. Before purchasing any items, please contact Carol Meyer (770-461-3448) to see what is needed so that we avoid duplications.

• The need for food continues to increase at Fayette Samaritans and we urge you to donate items, if you are able. Items needed are as follows: canned chicken or other canned protein, dried beans, corn, green beans, mixed vegetables, instant potatoes, canned fruit, canned pasta, cereal, Jiffy cornbread mix, and cereal. They are not accepting clothing at this time.

Regarding our people…

• Michelle Bryant is doing much better following a brief hospitalization.

• Judy Cable’s brother underwent open heart surgery and is doing fine.

• The sympathy of the congregation and the strength and hope we share in the resurrection of Christ is extended to Pastor Flanigan and his family upon the death of his uncle.

• I’m happy to be able to report once again that no member of the congregation has contracted the coronavirus.

May the chaos of these days give way to peace so that we can come together in this land and find solutions to the crises we face,

Pastor Halenza
